David was born to the late Gabe, Jr. and Margaret Rendleman in Sikeston, Mo. on Oct. 29, 1950. He attended Dexter Public Schools, graduating in 1968 and continued his education at Southeast Missouri State. He graduated with a degree in Economics in 1973. David was also a baptized member of the First Christian Church of Dexter, Mo.
David had a great love of cars and spent many years in sales and customer service in the auto industry. The last 10 years he worked for West County Volvo and during David's illness and absence from work, his relationship with co-workers and customers continued through letters and phone calls, which brought him much comfort.
From a very young age, David was an avid Cardinals fan and attended many games at Busch Stadium. He also was a St. Louis Rams season ticket holder and loved to share his enthusiasm for the game.
He was loyal and devoted to family, friends and his faith in God. Even though he lived for many years in St. Louis, in his heart he was still a Dexter boy.
David is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Kim Rendleman and their sons, Neal and Gabe who reside in Springfield, Mo. He is also survived by his companion, Donna Sneed, who graduated in 1968 from Dexter High School but currently resides in St. Louis, Mo. and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Services are under the direction of Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
