Tim D. Hutson, son of the late Neil and Rosella (Miller) Hutson, of Puxico, Mo., died March 4, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girar-deau, Mo., at the age of 75.
Mr. Hutson was born June 14, 1936, in Puxico. On Dec. 25, 1955, he
was married to Janice Marquis. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2009.
Surviving are three children: a son, James, and his wife Serena of St. Charles, Mo., and two daughters, Connie and her husband, Edward Scott Brown, of Dexter, and Susan Dean, also of Dexter; seven grandchildren, Todd Brown of Dexter, Neil, Matthew, and Michael Hutson of St. Charles, and Cole, Carson, and Carly Dean of Dexter; one sister, Sonja, and her husband, Glenn Buddenbaum, of St. Charles.
Tim was a 1954 graduate of Puxico High School and a member of the Mt. Gilead (Hills) General Baptist Church of Bloomfield. He was a retired farmer and a USDA federal meat inspector, a 32nd degree Mason and a member and a past worthy President of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Dexter.
One of Tim's greatest joys was singing southern gospel music. He sang with The Gospel Echoes, The Molody Men, Calvery Hill, The Hutson Family, and the Dexter Senior Choir. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 7, 2012, at the Morgan Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. March 8, 2012, in the funeral home's chapel, with Rev. Rick Roberts and Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in the Puxico City Cemetery.
