Walter Junior Tilley, son of the late Walter and Lydia Lucresia Elledge Von Ruedgisch, was born on Aug. 6, 1940, in Bloomfield, Mo., and died at his home in Bolivar, Mo., on March 13, 2012, at the age of 71.

Mr. Tilley had lived in Bloomfield most of his life. He had worked as a salesman for Haque Quality Water Condition-ing. He attended the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, was

a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #153 and the Bloomfield American Legion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

On June 26, 1966, he was married to Nancy Gaines in Idalia.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Tilley, of Bolivar; two sons and spouses, Michael and Hui-Ling Chan Tilley of Fayette, Mo., and David and Kim Tilley of Bolivar; and four grandchildren, Jaren, Jaeli, Lydia, and Sophia Tilley. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield officiating.
