Myrle Marie Carpenter, daughter of the late John Richard Brown and Louise Young Brown, was born Jan. 28, 1919 at Oran, Mo., and died March 27, 2012, at the Ozark Medical Center in West Plaines, Mo., at the age of 93.
On Oct. 3, 1936 she married Dolcie Everett Carpenter, in Kennett, Mo. Mr. Carpenter preceeded her in death on April 8, 2003.
Mrs. Carpenter was a member of the Church of Christ, a cook, and formerly resided in Campbell and Dexter, Mo.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Jacques and Jerry of West Plaines, Mo.; by her son and daughter-in-law, Everett Leon Carpenter and Virginia, of Holts Summit, Mo.; her son, Roger Carpenter of Dexter; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Mae Dalton of Campbell, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents, seven brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, in the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, Mo. Interment to follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell with Jerry Jacques and Scott Jacques officiating. Landess Funeral Home of Campbell, Mo. is in charge of arrangements.
