Eloise LaRue, daughter of the late Charles LaRue and Anna Barker LaRue, was born on Jan. 19, 1916, in Frisco, Mo., and died at her residence in Dexter, Mo., on April 9, 2012, at the age of 96.

Eloise was a former receptionist

at the Y.M.C.A. in Pon-tiac, Mich., and a former waitress at the Hickory Log Restaurant in Dexter. She attended the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter and was a resident of Dexter.

Survivors include two brothers, Charles "Bud" LaRue, Jr. and wife Geneva of Sikeston, and Kenneth LaRue and wife Shirley of Dexter; one sister, Opal Coffey of Dexter; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn LaRue, Virgil LaRue, Leo LaRue, and Chester LaRue; and by two sisters, Beulah Arnold and JoAnne Whitledge.

Visitation will be at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Phil Warren and Rev. Josh Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
