Emma Mae Niehaus, of Dexter, daughter of the late Edward Fritts and Velma Crain Fritts, was born on Feb. 13, 1922, in Bernie and died at the Golden Living Center in Dexter on April 15, 2012, at the age of 90.

Mrs. Niehaus was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, a former employee of Medler's Cleaners and a housewife.

On June 4, 1938, she was married to Herman Niehaus, Jr. in Risco, Mo. Mr. Niehaus preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Steimle and husband Larry of Wappapello and Wanda Stultz and husband Vader of Gallatin, Tenn.; two brothers, Wilfred Fritts of Flint, Mich., and George Fritts and wife Joyce of Kirkwood, Mo; three sisters, Eva McKinley of Dexter, Delores Stalling of Malden, and Betty Killian and husband Bob of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren, Pam Lee and husband Greg of Poplar Bluff, Jerry Foriester and wife Julie of Campbell, Tracie Patton and husband Joe of Land O'Lakes, Fla., Dawn Kingsley and husband Billy of Gallatin, Tenn., Landon Steimle and wife Alice of Oxford, Miss., Michelle Windsor of Portageville, and Janelle Price and husband Tracy of Benton; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Hampton and Barbara Ann Fritts.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednes-day, April 18, 2012, at the Rainey-Mathis Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
