Mary Lou Kinder

Mary Lou Kinder, daughter of the late Eugene Walker and Mary Cato Walker, was born on May 29, 1928, in Advance, Mo., and died at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girard-eau, Mo., on April 21, 2012, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Kinder was a former employee of Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter for 27 years and was affiliated with the St. Joe General Baptist Church.

She was a member of the Dexter Eastern Star, Ladies Auxiliary, Dexter Elks Lodge, and a resident of Essex, Mo.

On Sept. 28, 1946, she was united in marriage to Earl Joseph Kinder in Piggott, Ark. Mr. Kinder preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Kinder and Teresa of Kennett, Randy Kinder and Peggy of Dexter, and Steven Kinder and Joyce of Dexter; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Burleson and Brent of Essex; seven grandchildren, Todd Kinder, Travis Kinder, Chasity McLaughlin, Matt Kinder, Leslie Pyle, Colby Burleson, and Lance Burleson; 12 great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Ron Smith.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Joe Walker, Truman Walker, Wilburn Walker, Cloyd Walker, and Harold Walker; and three sisters, Jessie Proffer, Wanda Bedwell, and Georgie Cooper.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, April 22, 2012.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 23, 2012, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Interment followed in the Triplett Cemetery.
