Allean Triplett, daughter of the late Amiel and Ellen Eaton Hunt, was born in Bernie on Feb. 20, 1916, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on April 23, 2012, at the age of 96.

Mrs. Triplett had lived in Essex most of her life. She was a member of the South Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church near Dexter and was a member of the Eastern Star.

On March 27, 1950, she was married to Jasper Junior Triplett in Bernie. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2001.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Sue Taul-Remmert and husband, Robert Remmert, of St. Charles Mo.; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Evelene Metcalf of Crane, Mo. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Imogene Williamson, and four brothers, Clifford, Herbert, Alvin, and Clarence Hunt.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Harold Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
