Pauline Bean, daughter of the late John and Roxie Sifford Cranick, was born on Oct. 9, 1910, in Scott County, Mo. and died on April 28, 2012, at Oak Tree Villas in Jefferson City, Mo. at the age of 101.

Mrs. Bean was a homemaker and mother to her children all her life. She was a member of Richwoods Methodist Church in Scott County until moving to Jefferson City when health issues prevented her active participation in church life.

On Nov. 5.1928, she was united in marriage to Lyman L. Bean in Morley, Mo. Mr. Bean preceded her in death on March 8, 1995.

She is survived by one daughter, Anita Link of Jefferson City, Mo.; by three sons and daughters in-law, Willard and wife Connie Bean of Jefferson City, Mo., Wayne and wife Carol Bean of Union, Mo. and Gary and wife Jo Dean Bean of Niceville, Florida; by nine grandchildren; by 19 great-grandchildren; by nine great-great grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira Cranick and Elmer Cranick and by two sisters, Amy Rhodes and Lois Elliott.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, May 5, 2012, from noon until 2 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Russell Rowland officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

The family requests that all memorials be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindberg Blvd, St. Louis, Mo. 63131 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
