Sarah Marie Mossman
Sarah Marie Mossman, daughter of the late Douglas Estes and Nancy Cowan Estes, was born on Jan. 2, 1925, in Bernie and died in the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter on May 15, 2012, at the age of 86.

She was united in marriage to Cleo Mossman on March 5, 1943, in Dexter. Mr. Mossman preceded her in death on November 15, 2001.

Marie was a member of the First Church of God in Dexter. She was a loving wife and home-maker. She loved to sew, cook and entertain friends and family.

Marie was a gifted artist, especially oil paintings of scenes of places she had seen in her many travels at home and to other countries.

Mrs. Mossman is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers, Lee Estes, Arthur Estes, Otis Estes, Sylvester Estes, Jewel Estes, John Estes, William Earl Estes, Vernie Estes and Earnie Estes; and by six sisters, Lily May Estes, Ella Brown, Nellie Cato, Flora Jane Hayes, Julia Ferrara and Mary Lou Snider.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9 until 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012. Funeral services will then be conducted at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Leonard Madigan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
