Ranley William Harris, son of Velma Phillips Harris of Dexter and the late Johnny Ranley Harris was born on May 15, 1954 at Hayti and died at Cumming, Ga. on May 31, 2012, at the age of 58.
Harris was a truck driver, a resident of Gainesville, Ga. and a former resident of Dexter.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Kay Harris of the home; by his mother, Velma Phillips Harris of Dexter; by four sons, Chris Harris of Dexter, Jason Harris of St. Louis, Nathan Harris of Campbell and Blake Harris of Bloomfield; by two step-sons, Brant Hosfelt of Springfield, Tenn. and Chad Werneck of Dexter; by two step-daughters, Deena Werneck of Corpus Christie, Tex. and Shannon Mullinex of Campbell; by three sisters, Sherry Ray and Debbie Smith both of Bloomfield and Bridget Bowers of Dexter; by five brothers, Dale Harris, Robbie Harris, Michael Harris and Jason Harris all of Dexter and Brian Harris of Poplar Bluff; by two brother-in-laws, Butch Priddy of Houston, Tex. and Mike Fritch of Dexter; by two sister-in-laws, Brenda Lee of Gainesville, Ga. and Tammy Harris of Dexter; by his mother-in-law, Sue Reeves of Dexter; by fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandson; and by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one sister Donna Sue Harris; by one niece, Stephanie Gwen Harris and by both sets of his grandparents.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery
