Jerry Lee Seabaugh
Jerry Lee Seabaugh of Dexter, Mo., son of the late Truman Dayton Seabaugh and Wilma IVD Crites Seabaugh, was born on Oct. 8, 1947, in Scopus, Mo. He died on June 18, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., at the age of 64.

Jerry was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Dexter, Mo., an active member of the Kenady-Hanks American Legion Post 59 (served as the Comman-der from 2007-2009), and retired from the United States Army National Guard - Master Sergeant (E8). He was formerly self-employed in sales with Jerry Seabaugh Equipment Company.

Jerry and Beverly Jean Vehrs were united in marriage on Feb. 14, 1969, in Marble Hill, Mo. Beverly survives at their home.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Missy Ashley, and her husband Gary and twin grandsons, Gavin and Dylan Ashley of Dexter; son Tony Seabaugh and his wife Dara, and grandson Casey Seabaugh and granddaughter MeKenna Seabaugh of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and son Tim Seabaugh and his wife Michelle, and grandsons Tyler Batchelor, Austin Seabaugh, and Chris Seabaugh, and granddaughters Tori Rae Seabaugh and Brianna Roberts of Dexter, Mo.

Other survivors include eight Seabaugh brothers: Eugene and wife Sharon of Jackson, Mo.; T. Gale and wife Katherine of Jackson, Mo.; Dale and wife Winnie of Jackson, Mo.; Dick and wife Lois of Jackson, Mo.; Lindell and wife Wanda of Marble Hill, Mo.; Milford and wife Dorothy of Jackson, Mo.; Ron and wife Robin of Charleston, Mo.; and Don Seabaugh of Leopold, Mo. These brothers have been gathering together every third Friday of the month since 2005 to stay in close touch and celebrate their birthdays -- "A great excuse just to be together and enjoy each other's company."

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rex Seabaugh of Marble Hill, Mo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012, from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Mo.

Celebration of Life -- Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with full military state honors. Rev. Lonnie Mittag and Chaplain Herb Zaricor of the Kenady-Hanks American Legion Post 59 will be officiating.
