Lyman Jerry "Nub" Jines
Lyman Jerry "Nub" Jines, son of the late Lyman Lloyd Jines and Cora Mae Knight Jines, was born on March 5, 1934, in Sikeston, Mo., and died on June 24, 2012, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 78.

Mr. Jines was a veteran of the United States Army, where he was deployed to Korea shortly after the Korean War began. He enjoyed fishing and old western movies. He was a resident of Dexter.

He is survived by a special companion of 25 years, Earlene Hunt, by one son and daughter in law, Jason Jines and wife Patty of Dexter, six brothers, Jack Jines of Bloomfield, Joe Jines of Florida, Gary Jines, James Jines, Laddy Jines, and Larry Jines, all of Dexter; two sisters, Patsy Cook of Dexter and Judy Hadley of Oregon; and two grandchildren, Trevor and Coty Jines both of Dexter.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Dickerson.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Michael Morrison officiating. Mr. Jines will receive full military honors.
