Mary Doretta Hare, daughter of the late John Wooley and Rose Holmes Wooley, was born on June 25, 1924, in Rockview, Mo. and died on June 28, 2012, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 88.

Mrs. Hare had been a member of the Harvest Assembly Church in Essex since 1959. She was a homemaker and a resident of Essex.

On April 28, 1950, she was united in marriage to James "Sonny" Hare in Piggott, Ark. Mr. Hare survives of their home in Essex.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter -in-law, Mike Hare and wife, Pam of Bloomfield; by two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela Malloy and husband, James of Essex and Regenia Williams and husband, Danny of Essex; by nine grandchildren, Kim Sifford and husband, Anthony of Dexter, Spencer Hare and wife Molly of Bernie, Tina Williamson, Stacy Pullum and husband Chuck, Rosanna Williams, Matt Malloy and wife Lauren, Eric Williams, Kirsten Williams and Mackenzie Williams, all of Essex; and by 11 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, J.D. Wooley, Harold Wooley, Loren Wooley and Bill Wooley; and by three sisters, Gladys Tejeda, Mildred Eifert and Doris Tejeda.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, July 1, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Malloy and Rev. Larie Burdine officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
