Linda F. Wages, 75, of Bertran, Mo., died July 17, 2012, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Linda was born Jan. 16, 1937, in Deventer, Mo., to the late Lendell and Mary Slayden Hunt. She moved to Bertrand in 1990 and was a long time member of Abun-dant Grace Church in Bertrand. She was of the Baptist belief.

Linda attended Bell City Schools and retired from JC Penney in St. Louis. After retiring, she began babysitting and loved the children just like they were her own. Linda was also a great cook.

On May 6, 1952, she married Winford Wages in Piggot, Ark., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1997. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Ronald Giv-ens.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah and Randall West of Bridgeton, Mo., and Cynthia Givens of East Prairie; three brothers and their spouses, Calvin and Shirley Beach of Mayfield, Ky., Carl and Evelyn Hunt of Bell City, Mo., and Harold and Welda Hunt of Jonesboro, Ark.; one sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Mike Ellis of Charleston, Mo; four grandchildren, Chris-topher West, Matthew West, and Carrie Berger, all of St. Ann, and Nicholas Wages of Oran, Mo.; and seven great-grandchildren, Kyle Berger, Kaleb Berger, Ashley West, Brian West, Makayla West, all of St. Ann, and Seaira and Bhuvana Wages of Oran, Mo.

Visitation was held at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston on Thursday, July 19, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services were held at Abundant Grace Church in Bertrand on Friday, July 20, 2012, at 10 a.m. Rev. Larry Kirby, pastor of the Abundant Grace Church in Bertrand, officiated. Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
