Roy Allen Holyfield, 59, of Wewahitchka, Fla., died at his home Monday, July 30, 2012.

He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Maureen L. Holy-field of Wewahitchka, Fla.; three daughters, Rebecca P. Holyfield of Wewahitchka, Marcy Holyfield of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jennifer L. Sawyer (Chris) of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Jerry A. Holyfield; four grandchildren, Brooke and Bradley Holyfield, Devan Holyfield, and Logan Sawyer; five sisters, Louetta Clark Oliver (Henry) of Anniston, Mo., Joyce Staggs of Booneville, Ark., Emma Hedrick of Russellville, Ark., Barbara Townsend of Dexter, Mo., and Jane Pickerell (Harold) of Indianapolis, Ind.; and two brothers and spouses, O.V. Holyfield (Lola) of Brookport, Ind., and Rayburn Holyfield (Margaret) of Graften, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orvil and Lucy Holyfield; by three brothers, Tom, David, and Lester; and by one sister, Marilyn.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Henry and Rev. Lance Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, with full military honors accorded at graveside.
