Virgie Mae Kinslow

Virgie Mae Kinslow, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jetty E. Heflin, was born on July 14, 1921, in Pope County, Ark., and died Aug. 13, 2012, at Care Givers Inn in O'Fallon, Mo., at the age of 91.

On Oct. 30, 1937, Virgie was united in marriage to Arvin L. Kinslow in Russellville, Ark.

Mrs. Kinslow's primary occupation was homemaker and assisting her husband, Rev. Arvin Kinslow, in his pastorate of the General Baptist Churches in Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky. After retirement, they made their home in Dexter, and she was a member of the Risen General Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kinslow was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Arvin Kinslow, and one brother, Glen E. Heflin.

Survivors include one brother, Ken Heflin of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; two nieces, Brenda Heflin of Columbia, Mo., and Judy Wallace of House Springs, Mo.; two nephews, Jerry Heflin, Sr. of Dexter and Mark Heflin of O'Fallon; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012.

Funeral services will then be conducted at

1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel Rev. Phil Warren and Rev. Josh Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
