Larry Elden Malone of Dexter, son of the late Lester Henry and Edna Mae Putney Malone, was born in Dewitt, Ark. on Jan.14,1945, and died at his home in Dexter on Sept. 7, 2012, at the age of 67.
He had lived in Dexter most of his life, and had worked as an auto mechanic at Bud Shell Ford in Dexter.
He was a member of the General Assembly Church of First Born in Oxley, Mo.
On Oct. 23,1964, he was married to MaryAnn Ollie Corter in Tulare, Calif.
Surviving are his wife, MaryAnn Malone of Dexter; three sons, Joseph Malone of Bloomfield, James Malone, and John Malone, both of Dexter. one daughter, Ruth Strickland of Bloomfield; 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Malone of Fuquay Varina, N.C., and Tom Malone of Bloomfield; and one sister, Shirley Weaver, also of Bloomfield. Other family members and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept.10, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Archie Godwin of Fairdealing, and Dewayne Sloate of Naylor, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
