Shirley Britton, daughter of the late Sylvester and Ada Bell Eaton Razer, was born in Essex, Mo., on July 6,1938, and died at her home in Dexter, Mo., on Sept. 7, 2012, at the age of 74.

Mrs. Britton lived in the Essex and Dexter area all her life. She attended the First Baptist Church in Essex.

On March 14,1980, she was married to Gary Donald Britton in Dexter. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1995.

Surviving is one daughter, Tracy Ann Bijeaux of Lafayette, La.; eight grandchildren, Melinda Roberts of Bloomfield, Randy Fincher, Jr. of Dudley, Joshua Fincher of Bloomfield, Brian Cross of Dexter, Jason Rangel of Honolulu, Hawaii, Rebecca Rangel of Fair Oaks, Calif., Sarah Rangel of Lafayette, La., and Hannah Bijeaux of Lafayette, La.; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ronnie Razer of Wappapello. Other family and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by one son, Randall Lee Fincher; two daughters, Melba Diann Cross and Sheryl Verlene Alberson; one grandson, Darren Cross; and four brothers, Manford Razer, Bill Razer, Sidney Razer, and Bob Razer.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept.11, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Sept.12, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dennis Ward of Poplar Bluff officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
