J.C. Larsen, son of the late Everett Larsen and Geneva Coburn Larsen, was born on April 15, 1923, in Dexter, Mo., and died on Sept.18, 2012, at Missouri Southern Health-care in Dexter, Mo.

Mr. Larsen was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Liberty Hill Church for 66 years, where he served as a deacon for 64 of those years.

On Nov. 17,1945, he was united in marriage to Jane Worley in Piggott, Ark. Mrs. Larsen survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Larsen is survived by two daughters, Jackie Asberry and Becky Agey and her husband John, all of Dexter; by three grandchildren, Chris Asberry and wife Amy of Dexter, Jennifer Gray and husband Brian of Eureka, Mo., and Autumn Turner and her husband Vance of Piggott, Ark.; and by seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Dees, and by one brother, Gene Larsen.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the West Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield.
