POPLAR BLUFF -- Dexter now knows how it feels to be on the winning side of a three-game match.
After dropping back-to-back three-game matches to Advance and Leopold recently, the Lady Bearcats rallied from one game down to defeat the Poplar Bluff Lady Mules, 19-25, 25-23, 25-22, Thursday night on the road.
It was the third-straight win for the Lady Bearcats after dropping the two 3-setters. Dexter improved to 20-8 on the year.
Hannah Noe continued to led the Lady Bearcats at the net, knocking down a team-high 12 kills in the win. Noe, a junior, has averaged just over 10 kills per match over the last three games with a total of 32.
Junior Alyssa Spear was charted with a team-high 21 assists. She has averaged 14 assists over the last three games with a total of 42.
Sophomore Shyann Jines had eight digs to lead the team against Poplar Bluff.
Samantha Gatewood and Danille Farmer led the Lady Mules at the net with 10 kills each.
The loss drops Poplar Bluff's record to 18-6 on the season.
The game marked the last regular season match for Dexter before the Stoddard County Activities Association's (SCAA) annual tournament Oct. 8-12 at Bell City High School.
Dexter will have one remaining regular season game remaining after the SCAA tournament at Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau, Oct. 15.
