BLOOMFIELD, Mo. - A Dexter man accused of possessing child pornography has been bound over to appear in circuit court.
Verl J. Cato, 41, was arrested on July 9, 2012, by the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department. He has been charged with six counts of the Class B felony of possession of child pornography.
Cato appeared before Judge Joe Z. Satterfield on Thursday for his preliminary hearing.
After evidence was presented, the court determined there was probable cause to bind him over to Division 1.
Cato posted a $10,000 cash only bond following his July arrest, and will not be re-arrested.
He is scheduled to appear before Judge Stephen Sharp on Nov. 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
Cato is accused of possessing pornography that depicts children as young as four years old in explicit sexual acts.
