Friday, October 12, 2012

Vicky Fields, who serves as president of the Heartland Quilt Guild, displays a fall work of art that will be raffled off during Saturday's downtown Fall Fest in Dexter. The quilt was pieced together after each member of the local guild was provided with one eighth of a yard of material to assemble one block each. Other materials used were of the quilter's choice. Tickets for the quilt will be sold throughout Saturday at the Guild's quilt display housed at the O.A.K.S. Senior Center on Stoddard Street. Tickets will sell for one dollar each, or six tickets for five dollars, with proceeds going to various local charitable organizations.
