Sara was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, had a natural love for children which extended from her son, nieces, nephews and into her chosen profession as an educator in Early Childhood Special Education in the Scott County Central School District.
She had previously been employed as an Aide in the Early Childhood Classroom in the Bloomfield School District. She was a resident of rural Bloomfield.
She is survived by one son, Keaton Avery Leija of Bloomfield; by her mother, Kathy Jones, of Bloomfield; by her brother, Larry Kyle Jones and wife, Che', of Bloomfield; by her sister, Lora Galati and husband, Joe, of Jackson; by two nephews, Sam Galati and Larry Mason Jones; and by two nieces, Vita Claire Galati and Anna Kate Galati.
Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Travis Quertermous officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
