Elsie Glodean Streeter

Elsie Glodean Streeter, 91, of Oran, died Dec. 9, 2012, at the Bertrand Nursing Center. She was born March 26, 1921, in New Madrid County, Mo., the daughter of James Fred and Nancy Louise Wilburn Calhoun.

Elsie had been a homemaker and the assistant Scott County Collector. She had been on the Advisory Board for the Delta Center, President of Farm Bureau of Scott County, Democratic Committee person for Scott County, Stoddard County President for Missouri Family and Community Education. She served as an election judge and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Perkins Baptist Church.

Elsie and Kyrous Mabrey Streeter were united in marriage on Dec. 19, 1940, in New Madrid County, Mo., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2004.

Survivors include her son, Delane (Gwen) Streeter of Oran; two grandchildren, Madrigail (Mark) Reed of Bloomfield and Marcus Streeter of Oran; four great-grandchildren, Katelyn Streeter, Seth Reed, Anisley Streeter, and Konnor Streeter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Gwen Streeter and Rev. Webb Manley officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Mo.

Morgan Funeral Home of Advance, Mo., is in charge of all arrangements.
