Lindell "Chuck" Dale Curneal was born Dec. 18, 1938, in Essex, the son of Carl and Edith (Scudder) Curnea, and died on Dec. 8, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 73.
On Feb. 7, 1969, Lindell married Gloria (White) Curneal, who survives in Desloge, Mo. He is also survived by his son, Barry (Cathy) Curneal of O'Fallon, Mo.; grandson, Blake Harper; brother, Glenn Curneal of Chaffee, Mo.; sister, Wanda Alford of Bloomsfield, Mo.; mother-in-law, Mary White of Owensville, Mo.; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Allen and Doris Shearin of Catawissa, Delores Salisbury of Arnold, Don and Pat Kozloski of Hillsboro, Bob and Rita Boeving of De Soto, Conrad and Elaine Stromberg of De Soto, and Gary and Mart Brune of New Haven.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Delmar and Harold Curneal; one sister, Shirley Messer; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rosemary White, Ed (Annabelle) White, Richard (Melba) White, and Margaret Lindsay.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., De Soto, Mo., 63020. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Hillsboro, Mo. Daniel Martin will officiate.
