BELL CITY -- Bernie improved to 7-0 on the year with a 87-32 win over Bell City on the road Friday night.
Bernie had three players score in double figures and the Mules' depth was apparent as 11 different players scored in the game.
David Baker led the Mules' offense with 15 points, followed by Troy Kirkpatrick with 14 and Joey Walker added 11.
"We are starting to improve in some areas," Bernie coach Brad Botsch commented. "We have been repetitively drilling decision making fundamentals in practice, and I felt it carried over into our play tonight.
"Our kids are working very hard, and if they'll remain coachable, I think we'll continue to improve," he added. "We have so many kids that can contribute, and it's nice to have that many competitive kids at our disposal."
McKenzie Vines, Jerad Yates and Aaron Smith each tallied nine points for the Cubs.
Advance 63, Scott City 56
SCOTT CITY -- Advance went on the road and picked up a hard-earned win over the Rams Friday night.
"It was a very physical game," Advance coach Andrew Halford said. "A physical, tough game both ways. Scott City played well. Defensively we gave up too many points around the basket."
Lane Below led all players with 24 points, followed by Ethan Barr with 17.
The Rams were paced offensively by Jesse Sanders with 17 and Trent Probst with 16.
Advance will next be in action at the Christmas tournament in Cape Girardeau.
