Martha Allene Ivester
Martha Allene Ivester, 80, a resident of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born March 26, 1932, in Miami, Fla., to the late William and Martha (Herndon) Perry.

Martha worked in her home as a childcare provider most of her life, and she and her husband, Harry owned and operated a Western Auto Store in Cape Girardeau for a few short years in the 1970's.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harry F. Ivester of Cape Girardeau; children, Julie Ann Finley of Cape Girardeau, Frances Allene Johnson of Oran, and Gregory Allen Ivester of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Richard Jason Wilde (wife, Judy Ann) of Fruitland, Melanie Danielle Wilde of Scott City, Nicole Allison Johnson of Fairfield, Ill., and Timothy Raymond Finley (wife, Krystal Nichole) of Cape Girardeau; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Shaune Dobbs and Alexander Donavan Dobbs of Scott City, Laila Rose Finley and Brielle Nichole Finley of Cape Girardeau; in-laws, Connie Ivester of Ind., Jerry Ivester of Mich., Gerta Ivester of Ariz., Joan Perry of Del., Jo and Lowell Rainey of Ga., and Betty Ivester of Scott City. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, from 10 a.m. until noon at Maple United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at noon at Maple United Methodist Church with Pastor Bryan Schaefer officiating.

Burial will follow in Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery. Ford and Sons Funeral Home of Cape Girardeau in charge of arrangements.
