Flora Bell Blocker
Flora Bell Blocker, daughter of the late Ralph W. Fralick and Ella Gray Thomas Fralick, was born on July 24, 1928, in Marion, Ky., and died on Dec. 30, 2012, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo., at the age of 84.

Mrs. Blocker was a custodian for the Bloomfield Schools for 15 years and retired in 1990. She was a member of the Walker Mt. Zion General Baptist Church in Bloomfield and a resident of Dexter.

Flora enjoyed life, the church, her family and friends. She was so very proud of her son, Bruce, and daughter-in-law, Pam. Bruce was the joy and love of her life.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Blocker on Dec. 14, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Mr. Blocker preceded her in death on May 17, 2008.

She is survived by one son, Bruce Blocker, and his wife, Pam, of Dexter, Mo.; by one brother, Tom Fralick, of Bernie, Mo.; by three sisters, Ruby Stanfield of Bernie, Mo., Lois Hicks of Bernie, Mo., and Ruth Ann Medlin of Flint, Mich.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Fralick and Frank Fralick; and by two sisters, Mildred Fralick and one in infancy.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Cooper officiating. Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery.
