Sandra J. Lawrence, daughter of the late Arnold Cowsert and Mary Turley Cowsert, was born on Oct. 21, 1935, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and died on Dec. 30, 2012, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Mo., at the age of 77.

Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker, a member of the United Methodist Church and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Yewell Gene Lawrence on June 14, 1954, in Mississippi. Mr. Lawrence survives at the home.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Bud Lawrence, and wife, June, of Dexter, Mo; by two daughters, Karen E. Lawrence of Lake Ozark, Mo., and Kelly A. Lawrence of Fort Myers, Fla; by one sister, Terry Delene Adams of Bernie, Mo; by two grandchildren, Natalie Kay Wolfe and Yewell Hunter Lawrence; by one step-grandchild, Bridgett Kielhofner, and her husband, Brandon; and by two step-great-grandchildren, Bryson Kielhofner and Braydon Kielhofner.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James A. Cowsert.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 11 a,m. Funeral services were then conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Adams officiating. Interment followed in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
