Bell City man dies in mobile home fire Sun.

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Rodney Bradshaw, 45, of Bell City was killed when a mobile home on Green St. in Bell City caught fire late Sunday night.

According to Bell City Fire Chief David Scherer, a neighbor noticed the fire and alerted authorities shortly before midnight.

Firefighters from Bell City and Advance responded and were told there was likely a person inside the home.

Firemen found the mobile home fully engulfed, with flames coming through the roof and side windows.

The Missouri State Fire Marshal's office was on the scene Monday morning to investigate the cause of the blaze. No determination has yet been made pending results of the investigation.

According to Stoddard County Coroner Kenny Pope, an autopsy performed Monday by Farmington pathologist Dr. Russell Deidiker concluded that Bradshaw died of smoke inhalation.

Firefighters and investigators were on the scene until approximately 10:45 a.m. Monday.
