Larry Allen Payne, son of James Oscar Payne and Barbara Sue Scott Belt, was born in Sikeston on Sept. 16, 1968, and died in Dexter on Jan. 9, 2013, at the age of 44.

He had lived most of his life in Dexter and was of the Baptist faith.

On June 22, 2000, he was married to Debra Jean Hahs in Chester, Ill.

Surviving are his wife, Debra Payne of Effingham, Ill.; two sons, Austin Gary Payne and Gage Andrew Tyler Payne, both of Effingham; his mother, Barbara Belt of Dexter; two brothers, Kenny Payne of Blythville, Ark., and Jimmy Payne of Bowling Green, Mo. Other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Rhonda Payne.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan.13, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at 12 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter officiating.

Watkins & Sons Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
