Juanita Umfleet, daughter of the late Richard and Nora Pullum Gibson, was born in Dexter, Mo., on July 7, 1922, and died at her home in Dexter on Jan. 13, 2013, at the age of 90.

She had lived in Bloomfield before moving to Dexter in 1946. She had attended the Second General Baptist Church since 1946, and had volunteered at the Gospel Mission in Dexter for over 20 years.

On Dec. 6, 1950, she was married to Clifford Umfleet in Dexter. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1967.

Surviving are one daughter and spouse, Donna and Ronald Morgan of Dexter; three grandchildren and spouse, Bradley and Shaina Morgan of Blytheville, Ark., Sarah Waggoner Grisham of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Beth Waggoner Bolton of Joplin, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren, Preston and Jacob Morgan of Blytheville, Ark., and Savannah Mae Grisham of Poplar Bluff. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jules R. Gibson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Josh Carpenter of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
