Dexter Police

Jan. 12-14, 2013

* An accident at Stoddard and Poplar Sts. at 3:42 p.m. Friday involved Quation Sanders, 43, of East Prairie and Stacy Delight Stevenson, 39, of Bernie. Police state the Sanders vehicle struck the Stevenson vehicle in the side.

* An accident at 6:50 pm. Friday at Olive and S. Nelson Sts. occurred when Wanda Sue Harris, 60, of Bloomfield backed into a parked vehicle.

* Police investigated a burglary on Day St. Friday at 10:41 p.m. in which cash and jewelry were reported missing.

* Police arrested Tara Lynn Maze, 32, of Dexter at 8:44 a.m. Saturday for second degree property damage. She was taken to the county jail where a bond of $2,500 was set. She bonded out.

* Erik William Zerr, 32, of Dexter was arrested Saturday at 9:42 a.m. at 904 N. Sassafras for forgery and stealing. She was transported to the Stoddard County Jail where a combined bond of $12,500 was set.

* A silver class ring was recovered at 3:29 p.m. Saturday from 12 E. Stoddard St. Owner is unknown.

* At 4:25 p.m. Saturday police investigated a burglary at the First United Methodist Church at 501 S. Walnut St. A flat screen television and a stereo radio were reported taken.

* At 5:49 p.m. Saturday, police investigated a third degree assault in the 1100 block of N. Hickory St.

* Police arrested Benjamin Alan Griffin, 22, of Dexter for DWI at 2:56 a.m. Sunday.

* Robert Westin Peloquin, 27, of Dexter was arrested at 11:41 p.m. Sunday at Business 60 and Hickory St. on a Bloomfield warrant for failure to register a vehicle. He was also issued a summons for no proof of insurance and improper vehicle registration.

* Police investigated three theft reports on Sunday afternoon. The first was on E. N. Main St., where clothing and a LG cell phone were taken. The second, at 2:32 p.m., involved theft of an Apple iPod Touch Generation 4. At 4:51 p.m. police were called to the 700 block of W. Business 60 where a wine collection and a silver collection were reported stolen.

* Randy Nelson Hoggard, 45, of Dexter was arrested on a Dunklin County warrant for felony first degree assault. Also arrested was Patrick Dwight Stallings, 21, of Dexter on the same charge. Bond for both was set at $75,000.

Stoddard County

Jan. 12-14, 2013

* Joseph Edward Sherfield, 32, of Essex was arrested on a warrant for non-support. Bond was set at $5,000, and he bonded out.

Highway Patrol

Jan. 12-14, 2013

* Shirley L. Kinkead, 34, of Dexter was arrested at 9:22 a.m. Saturday on a county misdemeanor warrant for fraudulent use of a credit/debit device. She remains in the county jail under a $2,500 bond.

* Aaron J. DeJournett, 17, of Bloomfield was arrested at 11:08 p.m. Saturday for DWI. He was transported to the county jail.

* Matthew D. Meeker, 20, of Essex was arrested at 1:53 p.m. Sunday for DWI, minor in possession of intoxicants, and C&I driving resulting in an accident.

* An accident at 4:25 p.m. Saturday on Hwy. U, 1.5 miles west of Bernie, left Austin R. Ward, 16, of Bernie with minor injuries. The patrol stated the teen's Jeep Cherokee hydroplaned, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a culvert. He sought treatment on his own at a Cape Girardeau hospital.
