Early morning car fire

Dexter firefighters were called to the scene of a vehicle fire at about 8:30 Friday morning. The BMW, pictured above, was a total loss. It was parked in the driveway of the owner, Dhafer Al-Makuter, at 224 Adams St.

He's the very nice man who own's Dhafer's Restaurant downtown. I hope it was not vandalism. Mr. Al-Makuter is an Iraqi immigrant and he is a wonderful chef and family man....and proud citizen of Dexter, Mo.

its sad that this had to happen to such a hard working and nice person. Hopefully it was just a fire, and nothing more.
