Fruitland - Fruitland Livestock Auction: Monthly Sheep and Goat Report for 9/26/2014

******Sheep and goat sale is on the third Friday of the month at 10:00 am******

   Due to the religious holidays the offering this month very high, feeder 
lambs sold 30.00 higher; slaughter lambs sold 25.00 higher; slaughter ewes 
traded 30.00 higher; few slaughter rams sold 60.00 higher.  Slaughter billies 
sold 38.00 higher, nannies sold 30.00 higher, slaughter kids sold 5.00 higher, 
feeder kids sold 4.00 higher and yearlings in light supply; Demand good and 
supply moderate.  Sheep made up approximately 60 percent of the offering, 40 
percent goats.

   Slaughter lambs:  Choice 1   44-79 lbs, 185.00-200.00; 80-112 lbs 183.00-
210.00. Choice 2  48-78 lbs 170.00-181.00.    

   Yearling:  few 90-160 lbs 144.00-155.00.
	
   Feeder lambs:  Medium and Large 1-2   few 30-41 lbs, 170.00-200.00.

   Slaughter ewes:  Utility and Good 2-3  90-155 lbs, 64.00-110.00.    

   Slaughter rams:  Utility and good 2-3  few 120-215 lbs 125.00-212.00. 

   Replacement ewes:  Utility and good 1-2  85-130 lbs 110.00-171.00.
