Advance Library to host "Star Wars Reads"

Thursday, October 2, 2014

Get your lightsabers ready! The Advance Community Library will be hosting a "Star Wars Read" program at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014!

Children and adults of all ages are invited to come out and meet Darth Vader, who will be making a special appearance at the little one-room library on Highway C, next to the old gym.

"We are so excited to be welcoming Mr. Vader to our activity," said library president Cara Mayberry. "I do hope the children will not be too frightened!"

Word has it that Princess Leia will also be on hand.

If adults and children have Star Wars costumes, they are encouraged to wear them for this activity!

The library will also be open for Halloween trick or treating from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 31--so children may be able to get double duty for their Star Wars costumes!
