Elwood Mouser

Elwood Mouser, son of the late Hobert and Rosetta Davis Mouser, was born on March 21, 1926 near Hahn and died at his residence on Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at the age of 77. Mr. Mouser served as Bollinger County Commissioner from Jan. 1, 1991 to Dec. 31, 1998. He was a member of the VFW Post #5900 in Marble Hill, and a member of the Palmore Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. On April 17, 1954 in Zalma, he was married to Virginia Lee Steward. She survives of the home. Other survivors include one son, David Mouser of Marble Hill; three daughters Sharon Dinkins of Whitewater, Sheila Cookemboo of Marble Hill and Gwendolyn Mouser of Marble Hill; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m on Thursday, May 8, 2003 at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2003 at the Liley Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Porter and Rev. Lloyd Ray Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
