Vonnie Woodard, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Ivy Bradfield, was born in Yuma, Tenn., on Feb. 8, 1911, and died at the Clearview Nursing Home in Sikeston on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at the age of 92. Mrs. Woodard had lived in the Parma area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Parma. On Dec. 3, 1927, she was married to Tom Woodard in Blytheville, Ark., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1985. Surviving are one son, John R. Woodard of Sikeston; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son, Albert Edward Woodard; one daughter, Julia Mae White; four brothers, Hobert, Carlie, Harvey and Raymond Bradfield; four sisters, Winnie Lindsey, Dortha Moore, Ola Hill, and Rhoda Taylor; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at the Church of Christ in Parma with Bro. Carnell Brittian of Bernie officiating. Interment will follow in the Mounds Cemetery near Lilbourn with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
