Robie Bledsoe

Robie Glen Bledsoe, son of the late Hugh Bledsoe and Addie Clayton Bledsoe, was born on Aug. 18, 1928, at Bernie and died at his residence in Dexter on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at the age of 74. Mr. Bledsoe was a member of Freedom Worship Center in Dexter and a painter for many years. He was united in marriage to Janie Moore on Dec. 28, 1982, at New Madrid. Mrs. Bledsoe preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Creg of Dexter and Rhonda Bledsoe of Chicago, Ill.; one step-daughter, Brenda Kavadas of St. Louis; two brothers, J.W. Bledsoe of Dexter and Remble Bledsoe of Advance; one sister, Margie Anthony of Dexter; two grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; also two special friends, Neomia and Doris. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son, Ronnie Moore; two brothers, Merle and Earl Bledsoe; two sisters, Rodie White and Betty Maddox. Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Looney officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery. PAID
