Tony R. Varble

Tony R. Varble, son of the late Ralph and Annetta Williams Varble, was born at Malden on Sept. 23, 1935, and died at the Southeast hospital in Cape Girardeau on Oct. 18, 2002, at the age of 67. Mr. Varble had spent his entire life in the Bloomfield and Leora community and had been a resident of Aquilla for several years. He was a graduate of the Bloomfield High School class of 1953 and was retired from Arvin Automotive in Dexter. On Aug. 17, 1957, he was married to Velva Pry. Survivors include his wife Velva Varble of the home in Aquilla, two daughters and their husbands, Jeanne and Keith Francis of Ozark, Mo., and Debbie and Dennis Avery of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Paul Varble of Arnold; one sister, Betty Koetting of Leora; four grandsons, Dalton and Dylan Avery of Poplar Bluff; and Dustin and Devin Francis of Ozark. Visitation was from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Glenn Ray Epps III officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield. PAID
