Rose Hendrix

Rose Hendrix, the daughter of the late Oliver and Elizabeth Crites Barks, was born near Kennett on Sept. 14, 1910, and died at the Mark Twain Manor in Bridgeton on Oct. 1, 2002, at the age of 92. Mrs. Hendrix was a homemaker and had lived in Malden from 1971 until moving to Bridgeton two years ago. She was a member of the Spoonerville Baptist Church. On Aug. 27, 1929, she was married to Russell Herbert Hendrix near Cardwell. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1989. Surviving are one son, William F. Hendrix of O?Fallon; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Perry Clark of Risco officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
