Nellie Crain Williams, daughter of the late Samuel Marshall Crain and Sarah Elizabeth Hayes was born on November 22, 1912 at Bernie, and died in the Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, Calif. on June 27, at the age of 89. Mrs. Williams was a 30 year member of Grace Baptist Church of San Jose Calif., she was a Clerical Supervisor for the State of California Vocational Rehabilitation, was a School Teacher and a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the White Shrine, a life long member of the Eastern Star and the Gardian of Jobs Daughters, she held offices in all these organizations and was a resident of San Jose, Calif. She was united in marriage to Fred Williams in 1975 at San Jose, Calif. Mr. Williams preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include one son, Roger Livsey of Monett, Va; two daughters, Emily Livsey Mendez of San Jose, Calif. and Marian Livsey Hays of Oceanside, Calif.; by 10 grandchildren, and 1great-grandchild. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 13 siblings. Visitation was held today, Wednesday July 3, at 1 p.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie. Funeral Services were conducted today, Wednesday July 3, at 2 p.m., in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Escue officiating. Interment followed in the Bernie Cemetery with Rainey-Mathis of Bernie in charge of arrangements.
