Jim Fox, son of the late Claude Fox and Emma Ivy Fox was born on September 17, 1927 at McCamry, Tx. and died in the Missouri Baptist Medical Center at St. Louis on June 16, 2002 at the age of 74. Mr. Fox was a member of the Dudley Community Church, a retired Chief Boat Swain?s Mate in the United States Navy, a retired agent with the Butler County Soil Conservation Service, a member of the Fleet Reserve and a resident of Dexter. He was united in marriage to Juanita Reed on September 27, 1949 at Yuma, Arizona. Mrs. Fox survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, James L. Fox and Gene Robert Fox both of Dexter; by three brothers, Herman Fox of Granbury, TX., Norman Fox of Dallas, TX. and George Fox of Rising Star, Tx.; by three sisters, Wanda Jacober of Anderson, Calif., Linda Pancake of Breckenridge, Tx. and Berniece Williams of Eastland, Tx.; and by two grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Fox and Claudie Fox; by one sister, Lucille Harrigal. Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11a.m., Wednesday, June 19, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Donald Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter, with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
