Lorine R. Alexander, the daughter of the late James W. Rosson and Callie Hughes Rosson, was born in Doniphan on April 26, 1913 and died at the Beverly Health & Rehabilitation Center in Dexter on April 12, 2002, at the age of 88. Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker and had lived in Essex most of her life. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Essex. On Oct. 8, 1932, she was united in marriage to Willie Cleveland Alexander in Corning, Ark. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1984. Surviving are three sons, Fred Alexander of Portageville, Bob Alexander of Dexter, and Don Alexander of St. Charles; one daughter, Patsy Rapp of St. Charles; one brother, Johnny Rosson of Madison; two sisters, Barbara Snider of Broseley and Marion Stites of Collinsville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Joe Alexander; by two brothers, Jimmy and Norman Rosson; and by her step-mother, Lorrie Rosson. Visitation will be held at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, April 15 from 9 - 11 a.m. Graveside funeral services will then be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 15 at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Rev. George Hill of Dexter officiating. Interment will follow with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
