Clifford Warren

Clifford R. Warren, 85, of Bell City, was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Stoddard County, the son of William and Mattie Scism Warren, and died Friday, March 7, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was a retired rural mail carrier for 32 years. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Bell City and a member and past master of Lakeville Masonic #489 Lodge. He was a veteran of WW II Army Air Corps. He and Yvonne Wright were united in marriage on Feb. 16, 1943, at Mt. Vernon. She preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 1992. He then married Bernice Bollinger Dunn in August of 1993, and she survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Teresa Steiner and two granddaughters of Bell City; three sisters, Gladys DeJournett, Bessie Edmonds, and Margaret Woodfin, all of Advance. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2003, at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Linda Zych officiating. Interment followed in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
