Unice Crenshaw

Unice Crenshaw, daughter of the late John and Addie Hopkins Crenshaw, was born at Bloomfield on Dec. 11, 1911 and died at I.H.F. Nursing Center in St. Louis on March 5, 2002, at the age of 90. Ms. Crenshaw was a former resident of Bloomfield, but had lived the past several years in St. Louis. She was of the Methodist Faith. Survivors include three sisters, Elsie Dine of Columbia, Mo., Edith Smith and Thelma Bartz, both of St. Louis. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Willis Crenshaw, Len Crenshaw and Eugene Crenshaw; by one sister, Elgia Mary Davis; by three half-brothers, Newt Matthews, Don Matthews, and Sam Matthews. Visitation was held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 6. Funeral services were conducted today, Thursday, March 7 at 11 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating. Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
