Clifton "Shorty" Hinman, son of Irene Sifford Hinman of Dexter and the late Durwood Hinman, was born on Jan. 17, 1941 at Essex and died in the Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston on Sept. 26, 2001, at the age of 60. Mr. Hinman was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a mechanic for Paramount Hat, a veteran of the United States Navy and a resident of Dexter. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Moser on Sept. 11, 1963 at Morehouse, she survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ricki Goins and Kelli Robinett, both of Dexter; by his mother, Irene Hinman of Dexter; by one brother, Larry Hinman of Dexter; and by five grandchildren, Ciara McCoy, Blake Robinett, Draya Goins, Fisher Goins, and Griffin Goins. Visitation will be at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, Sept. 28, from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. with Dale Grissom officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter. Rainey Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements. PAID
