Louis Ingram

Louis Ingram, of Advance, was born Dec. 12, 1921 at Lilbourn, the son of the late Lemuel and Mamie Barnett Ingram, and died Sept. 18, 2001 at the Advance Nursing Center, at the age of 79. He was a retired carpenter and a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army, three of his years in Europe. Louis was united in marriage to Elizabeth Burns on Nov. 28, 1958 at Gordonville, she survives of the home. Other survivors include one brother, Lucian Ingram of Madison Heights Mich.; and four sisters, Geneva Glass of Madison Heights, Mich., Bessie Cronk of Brudenville, Mich., Wanda Lampher and Janice Morgan of Advance. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Visitation was held at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating and Roy Haynie assisting. Internment followed in the Morgan Memorial Park in Advance with Morgan Funeral Home in charges of all arrangements.
