Jimmie Dale Jackson, son of the late Elvis Grady and Susie McDonald Jackson, was born on April 9, 1946 at Kennett and died in the University Hospital in Madison, Wis. on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at the age of 57. Mr. Jackson was retired from the United States Navy where he served as a Data Systems Technician and recruiter. He was a resident of Dexter. He was united in marriage to Laura Mitchell on August 12, 1977 at Kennett. Mrs. Jackson survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, survivors include six sons: Jim Jr. and Kevin both of Madison, Wis., David of Jacksonville, Fla., Chuck of Sikeston, Elvis and Mike, both of Dexter; by four sisters, Bonita Sue Mines of DeSoto, Mich., Linda Marie Brandon of Portageville, Carol Ann Hoggard and Rose Mary Jackson, both of Dexter; by seven grandchildren, Daniel, Cassie, Chase, Emily, Mehgan, Drew and Karly. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Gene Jackson and Charles Grady Jackson. Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2003 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard Blagg officiating. Interment will follow in the LuLu Cemetery at Senath.
